Thank you everyone for voting! I had over 70 votes between Facebook and the blog- that was a lot of printing and cutting. All the votes were placed in a brown paper bag (super official), shaken vigorously and then birthday boy Baconbits pulled out a winner. Here it is-

I’ve been a bad bad photog blogger.  However, I’ve got some new things to make up for it.  I’m getting ready to change my logo and branding.  It’s gonna be super sweet.  So hopefully my next post will be about my brand spankin’ new logo.  Until then here some products I’m offering.  Picture this sweetness:

Say what!?! It’s coming up fast in March of ‘09.  BOSTON!!! Last time I was in Boston it was for the Secret Photography with Cheryl Muhr.  I got some totally rad photos from that shoot/learning session.  Just imagine what I can learn from over a gajillion classes at Photoshop World and that’s not all! They have a bunch of speakers. Like MOOSE PETERSON!!! He is a Nikon legend.  While I don’t shoot wildlife (unless toddlers count) his infinite knowledge alone of lenses, post processing and workflow would be invaluable to soak up.  So, if you are like me and multi-task by spending copious amounts of free time farting around on Photoshop head over to the Photoshop World Conference  site and check out what they have to offer.  You’re bound to learn something new!

Here’s another sneak peak from this past weekend.  Another newborn, only 2 weeks old.  Baby “A” was awesome, slept pretty much the whole time and let me bend him into all kinds of newborn fun positions.  Mom found a super cute knitted monkey suit for him to wear.  It was a tad big but we made it work.  Enjoy!

Mommy says he has puppy dreams.  Barks, kicks and smiles in his sleep.  I was lucky enough to catch it.

I’m trying something new.  Portraits that I’ve taken that have had a bit of…um..ahem…*work* done on them, I’m going to hold a contest.  A contest to figure out what I’ve done to enhance them. 

I’ll take up to 5 winners.  The winners will be awarded with $100 off their session fee and 25% off additional purchases.  So get your eyeballs ready and keep your chin up! There are 2 adjustments done to the following image.  I’ll give 2 clues, it’s only the mom in the picture and nothing to do with color.

Something you just don’t hear enough anymore.  I just attended a great webinar by HubSpot on maximizing the use of Twitter. I’ve been Twittering for a while now.  I tend to mix business and pleasure.  It’s fun, you should try it! If you’re already on Twitter then check me out I can be found @alisonwaring, don’t forget to add @hubspot while you’re at it. They’re cool!

I cannot wait for September to get here!!! The 12th I’ll be leaving for Boston. I’m lucky enough to have a seat with The Secret Workshop, hosted by Cheryl Muhr. She’s awesome and taken all kinds of pics for various magazines. You should see a dramatic change in my style when I get back. Don’t worry it’ll still be me but better. I got my shirt today that I designed for the workshop. I’m meeting a bunch of other ladies at the airport, we’re going to try and find our way to the hotel- we have to take a bus then a shuttle. Hopefully we make it in one piece and hopefully they won’t see this picture and be horrified by my extreme dorkiness.

I’ll be back on the 14th (after a day trip in NY, IM me with ideas where to go, or not to go in NY) and will resume business as normal. I’ll have limited access to email but I will be checking periodically so don’t fret if you have a problem you can still reach me.
