I heart babies!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a 3 week old baby girl.  She was the cutest and did not want to fall asleep! I think she was afraid to miss all the action.  I believe that I might be a baby whisperer as a few minutes in my arms she would conk out and we got the shots we aimed for. A special thanks goes out to my husband who watched over our kids even though he was on his deathbed with a horrible cold. That he has passed onto me. Thanks honey.

A Pro shoot…

One of my long time friends asked me to take a couple of head-shots for her.  Davia has lived in the Central Florida area forever.  I always poke fun at her and say she’s related to everyone in Longwood.  It never fails that she’ll run into someone she knows or a cousin or sister while we’re out.  She’s a marketing genius, savvy business woman and a great mother.  She’s also getting ready to relocate just outside of Atlanta, GA.  So if you or anyone you know need some help with marketing and getting your business out there look her up!  She’s the owner of CRM2 and can also be found on LinkedIn! Oh me too!

I love love love her purple jacket

Detour!

I had a great session today with “T”, even though we were re-routed by a detour (which I swear was not there yesterday) in Historic Downtown Sanford.  She’s in need of a couple good shots for her grandfather’s house.  He has pictures of all the grandkids but no recent ones of herself.  I think we may have gotten a few during our walkabout of the downtown area. ;0)  Here’s a sneak peek I hope you enjoy!

I heart babies!!

There is nothing better in the world than to hold a brand spankin’ new baby!  The smell, the squeaks and the way they sleep with their little mouths open just melts my heart.  I had the extreme pleasure of photographing a friend’s newborn in the hospital.  It’s their second girl and she was just hours old when I stopped by to take a couple shots of her.  We joked about her having more hair at birth than her sister.  Whom by the way didn’t get hair until she was one.  Newest addition baby “E” even has a hint of red to her fuzzy hair.  I look forward to taking more pictures of her soon, we have a more formal photoshoot coming up soon. Until then enjoy these quick shots!

Tween Time

Yes, yes I’ve been absentee for a while.  The holiday rush is over and family is leaving town tomorrow.  So expect some belated Christmas photos too!

Speaking of family, I had the pleasure of taking out my neice for some urban tween photos.  Hold onto your hats folks because she is super cute (sassy) and does not look nor act like her age (which is ten, so boys stay away!!).

We headed down to Historic Sanford and got a couple awesome shots.  BTW it was a beautiful day in the 70’s and slightly overcast.  Monday morning she’ll be heading into cold St. Louis.  They been hovering around the 50’s.  She might even miss school due to a snow day (don’t worry E we’re all crossing our fingers for snow!!).  Until then enjoy!

Her mom is in for some trouble!!

She’s sassy, also we wear the same size shoe heehee

Gale force winds prevailed…

Florida has been having some wacky weather lately!  My poor clients from this past weekend were almost blown away by the mach 5 winds.  No where was safe!  Poor mom’s curls were instantly straighten and I was afraid the kids would blow away.  We got quite a few good shots despite the wind and cold.  I hope they enjoy!

Little “R” thought it was heelarious being blown around!

After two failed attempts of finding a city playground (apparently they’ve decided to restore all the parks at the same time!!) we found an open church playground. “L” is a great swinger!

Towards the end, it started to rain and everyone was worn out.  Can’t you just feel the desperation!

Hey! You’re just to FUNKY for me!

A little George Michael for ya. Why you ask? Because I checked my mail on Saturday and what did I see!?!  A supercoolawesomefunky camera neck strap from My Funky Camera.  Two birds makin’ out hot off the sewing machine.  I won mine in a contest that she had on Twitter.  Haven’t signed up yet? You totally should, nothing relieves stress like reading other people’s rants and snarky comments.

You should go and check out what Gabriela has in her store, everything is handmade with lurve by her.  She will pimp your gear. Wurd!!

 Funky!

Photoshop World

Say what!?! It’s coming up fast in March of ‘09.  BOSTON!!! Last time I was in Boston it was for the Secret Photography with Cheryl Muhr.  I got some totally rad photos from that shoot/learning session.  Just imagine what I can learn from over a gajillion classes at Photoshop World and that’s not all! They have a bunch of speakers. Like MOOSE PETERSON!!! He is a Nikon legend.  While I don’t shoot wildlife (unless toddlers count) his infinite knowledge alone of lenses, post processing and workflow would be invaluable to soak up.  So, if you are like me and multi-task by spending copious amounts of free time farting around on Photoshop head over to the Photoshop World Conference  site and check out what they have to offer.  You’re bound to learn something new!

“A” baby boy

Here’s another sneak peak from this past weekend.  Another newborn, only 2 weeks old.  Baby “A” was awesome, slept pretty much the whole time and let me bend him into all kinds of newborn fun positions.  Mom found a super cute knitted monkey suit for him to wear.  It was a tad big but we made it work.  Enjoy!

Mommy says he has puppy dreams.  Barks, kicks and smiles in his sleep.  I was lucky enough to catch it.
